AP Conference 2025

Welcome to our first Assistant Principals Conference, where we work in harmony to use professional learning to elevate leadership skills! This enriching platform is dedicated to fostering collaboration, building connections, and celebrating the invaluable contributions of Virginia Beach City Public Schools’ assistant principals, administrative assistants, academic coordinators, and deans. Our theme, CoacheLLLa:  Leading, Learning, and Living Our Best Lives, signifies how you use your leadership to orchestrate the rhythm of our schools, ensuring that each note resonates soundly with purpose and clarity. Our theme challenges us to lead with passion and purpose while prioritizing our well-being and personal fulfillment, both in and out of school. Together, let us tune our minds and compose a culture of excellence as we chart the course for educational excellence through leading, learning, and living our best lives!

Registration is currently open for all attendance.  Registration closes on July 22.

• There are essential sessions that are required depending on your level or whether you are new or veteran; therefore, please be sure to pay close attention to session descriptions as you register for courses.
• If you are an AP who oversees special education, you are required to attend to attend VAAP:  New Participation Decision Making Tool. Pay attention to the levels.  Please note that this session was offered at the Leadership Conference.
• If you are a new AP or AA, you are required to take Observation Feedback.  Please note that this session was offered at the Leadership Conference.  Veteran APs or AAs may choose to attend this session.
• It is important that you select and register for lunch if you plan to eat lunch.  Food is ordered based on counts from registration.
